Dear Cheri, You put into words all the feelings swirling around inside of me for the past few months. With tears in my eyes, thank you for putting it all out there. I too hate saying "no" to all the daily calls & emails of horses in need. Oftentimes it's just an owner looking for an easy out, but sometimes the need is genuine. We do what we can. If only more people would see the need to help, that would make a difference.

This post brought tears to my eyes. Your story about the paint makes me feel ashamed that I haven't done more to help. When Doctor Decherd walks toward me in the pasture, his eyes say everything - 'thank you for coming to see me', 'I know who you are', 'I am safe', 'you won't desert me', 'even though I am injured, you care for me'.

I just added a couple of photos I got of Tullie playing in the pond back in June. They're not great quality but she was so cute and it's so wonderful to see her feeling good enough to be playful.

Thanks so much for wanting to help. Tullie is one that will live here always with her 'special needs'. The vet and I were just discussing skin graphs the other day and looking into it at least for her back area that seems to really have a hard time healing.

You can go to the website and donate through the paypal or send a check for whatever amount you want to help 'sponsor' her. I will have Viet list you as her sponsor when he gets donation letters done next week.

We've had some puter issues of late and mine should be out of the shop I am hoping by Friday. He will be taking off work all week next week to help here as well as work in the office to get caught up. He is very anal about his records so I dont mess with his PC. We are like the PC vs Mac here. I play the commercials for him all the time.. LOL

Thanks so much for helping Tullie, She has grown to be quite a hand full. She has the perfect shape and size that would have been an awesome little barrel horse or trail horse if someone hadnt done this to her. I will get you some updated pics of her.

I was there, and she's not exaggerating folks! I've never seen a hospital with a worse level of patient care, and i've seen a lot of hospitals!

I'm so thankful that you are at least on the mend and starting to sound like you feisty self. Here's to a faster healing in the next month than it's been this month--the worst is probably over!
